Devendra Banhart is a difficult character to pin down and define.
His main occupation is music, especially as a prolific songwriter and visionary.

Active since 2002, has lived up to now probably the highest of his career with the hard Rejoicing In The Hands 2004, magnificent folk gem of rare intensity.
After two more albums of equally value ( and Niño Rojo Cripple Crow ) the last work, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon , was less convinced.

Devendra Now back on the scene with a very ambitious project the Megapuss . With him

Greg Rogov, the versatile multi-instrumentalist Priestbird and apparently Fab Moretti of the Strokes .

The songs on their MySpace promise very well.
The album, Surfing , could be one of the surprises at the end of 2008.
