Prix Italy Evening Finale - Part 1 Finale Evening

Here is the first installment of the report, minute by minute, the shocking final evening of the 59th Prix Italy, held Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Teatro Nuovo in Verona.

Around 20 hours I reach my unfortunate colleagues to venture out from the Teatro Nuovo. After several minutes in which I discover that the boys have worthily celebrated the end of the Prix with the beauty of 59 cocktails (and the effect on some of the drink is still pretty obvious), we decide to enter and participate in the evening.
discover that it has even reserved a space for us to sit where we come together gently. Parquet B, students at the University of Verona. Too bad that half of the seats are already occupied by unknown. Patience, we adapted the whole week, we'll do today. All the more so at least you are together and on occasions like this is better than you is. After twenty minutes at mock the audience from our shelves, we are once again met by the hostess that make us move. New destination on the opposite side of the theater, must fill a shelf near the stage. In the new location but there is room for everyone, so me and a colleague (Valentina) do not have time to sit down that we are once again moved. There are gaps in the audience, the better to fill them.

have finally found my place, I begin to look around. There are Prix of all the authorities: the Director Pier Luigi Malesani, President Caroline Thomson (BBC), the Honorary President James Graham (also English), many of the jurors, including five out of seven of "my" jury. Also present were several city officials, the staff RAI (Logistics and Accreditation mysteriously were not invited but they took their revenge), some good characters in Verona, wives and assorted offspring.
Everything is ready. The hostess filled the last empty seats in the stalls, technicians light system and microphones, the hunchback is positioned at the side of the stage. Ah yes, the stage. A thin and banal setting, white panel with a balcony like that of Juliet (ahia!) and the stairs that go down. On the left instead of a plasma screen with the logo of the Prix. It almost seems like a TV studio ... No wait, it will not an event for television?! But yes, we ended up inside a TV recording, the final night of the Prix will be recorded and will air on RAI. Well come on, at least some degree of visibility for an event that is held for sixty years without the knowledge of citizens and taxpayers.
So after a few more minutes of waiting, she appears unexpected and stealthy ...

00:00:00: comes out on stage Lorena Bianchetti . Squeezed by a long black dress, greeted with enthusiasm an audience unprepared and confused, being more than half a foreigner, does not recognize it. Sunday In The presenter already not flustered and says smiling without even appear something like: "Usually when it enters the presenter audience applause. " To which part of a timid applause from the few who have heard or wanted to do it (I already feel a stranger to embarrassment for both empathy). It does not pay the Bianchetti insists: "Louder, I can not hear." Following a round of applause and more convinced. Now it turns out the mystery: "Oh, this was a nice round of applause! Now let's do it again so maybe the director for registration and then uses it for recording. "

first drop of sweat runs down me cold to your back. First clumsy attempt to cover the shame with one hand on the face is not yet started the show and already I am ashamed to be there. All right, that TV is fiction, but I did not think you could be so shameless.
